By Dan Molinski Motiva Enterprises said it was restarting a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit Wednesday morning at its Port Arthur, Texas refinery in a process that could continue until Friday. "At approximately 6:00 [a.m. Wednesday], the Motiva Port Arthur Refinery at the Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex will begin startup activities of its FCCU," the refinery said in a statement late Tuesday to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. "The FCCU startup is in response to an unplanned shutdown.
