Port Arthur LNG, a multibillion-dollar export project planned for the Sabine Pass community, officially has a permanent home in Jefferson county. Sempra Infrastructure Partners, the majority owner of the plant, on Monday announced a positive final investment decision to move forward with the development, construction and operation of phase one of the liquefied natural gas project, according to a news release from the company. The decision, which signals the final approval needed to officially move forward with the project, comes more than two years after a final decision initially was expected.
