The Port of Port Arthur wants to introduce Mid- and south Jefferson County students to the maritime industry. Through its free, five-day Camp SeaPort, it plans to do just that. Applications are now open for Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Acres, Port Neches, Sabine Pass and Groves freshmen, sophomores and juniors to learn more about the maritime industry at one of Southeast Texas' prime ports. The camp, which runs July 10-14 at the port, will provide participants opportunities to take part in outdoor activities, interactive games, waterway exposure, hear from guest speakers and go on field trips, among other activities.
