PORT NECHES, Texas — Day two of the Port Neches-Groves Cajun Classic was another exciting one with area teams battling it out with competition from outside the 409. In early action Hamshire-Fannett built a 4-1 lead over Silsbee before holding onto a 4-2 victory. The Lady Horns went (2-0) on the day with their day opening with a 3-1 win over Port Arthur Memorial. Host Port Neches-Groves suffered their first loss of the classic, falling to Magnolia, 3-1. The Lady Indians fell into a 2-0 hole early on before breaking through for a goal in the second half.
